Have I told you all how much I love Minted? I think maybe I have a time or two, and I’m here to sing their praises again. First off, because I’ve partnered with the amazing Minted team for our gorgeous wedding invitations (that I cannot wait to share in a few months!) and secondly, I adore their holiday designs. This year, we went with a ‘holiday save the date’ with fancy foiled lettering, to officially announce our wedding date in the merriest and prettiest way and share one of our fave shots from our e-sesh with Rebecca Yale.

minted_envelopelayoutWe also took advantage of The Minted Envelope for our addressing this year! Don’t get me wrong, I love a good little evening of card prep and snuggle by the fire with spiked hot cocoa, but I’m totally OK with skipping the hand cramps and just popping on the stamps. And they have such a lovely array of choices to pick from.

Still need to check your holiday cards off the list? There’s still plenty of time—head on over to Minted! And don’t miss the sweet 15% off + free shipping deal today on holiday cards with code: JOLLY15FS

Happy Halloween friends! What’s on your agenda this weekend? I’ll be heading out of town tomorrow for a bit of annual Christmas shopping with family. The kind of Christmas shopping where you buy more goodies for yourself and spend half the day eating and enjoying a few brews. Yep, that kind. And I love every second of it. Aside from that, I’ll be doing some last minute packing for my work trip to Mexico next week for the Jose Villa Workshop! I’ll be instagramming along the way incase you want to follow along!

Now for a few fave links I came across this week…

These shots from Cocorrina are mesmerizing.

I can’t wait to watch this. I love a good thriller.

Fun last minute Halloween makeup hacks.

It never gets old.

Such a pretty dress for fall.

After a busy, rainy and gloomy week, I’m ready for the weekend and the gorgeous weather it’s going to bring. With Halloween right around the corner, Salem is buzzing with tourists and the annual Haunted Happenings. One of my bridesmaids and very good friends is coming to visit tomorrow for the day and I have a feeling it’s going to be filled with cider, pumpkin beer, a little bit of fall shopping and lots of much needed catching up. Wishing you all a cozy fall weekend! xo

These fruit and nut bars look so tasty.

So excited to finally share our engagement photos this week!

Fall in a jar.

When the house smells like Pumpkin Soufflé, life is good.

We’re hosting Thanksgiving again! And I might just have to use these adorable pie crust cutters for the apple pie.

I like this motto.

Today is the day! I finally get to share our lovely engagement captures from our AH-mazing photographer, Rebecca Yale. We’re sharing the whole gallery over on SMP today, yay!

We had so much fun playing in the sand and sea at Crane Beach. There are lots of beaches in our area that we could have chosen, but we thought it’d be special to have our photos done at Crane Beach, which is only a couple of miles from where Shawn’s parents were married. Plus, it’s a gorgeous beach! I made a sweet little bouquet to bring, because I love playing with flowers and it was a great excuse! We decided to go very casual since we were at the beach. We went barefoot and chose outfits that we were comfy in, rather than getting fancied up—who gets fancy at the beach anyway? I found a breezy light pink dress at Revolve Clothing that was perfect. I also found a short white dress with crochet detailing on sale at Nordstrom that I decided to bring as well to switch it up.

We had never been professionally photographed together before, but Rebecca made us feel so comfortable. She snapped some seriously dreamy shots that we’re both so grateful to have. My heart grows bigger every day with love for this guy, I’m truly lucky, and this little slice of pretty is such a sweet reminder of that. Take a peek below at some of our favorites and head over to SMP for the rest!

The conch shell below is the one that Shawn got for me during our first few months of dating. During a college trip for his marine biology class, he found it snorkeling and had a local chef cook up the conch inside to eat. He brought the shell home to me and was the very first ‘gift’ he ever gave me. It was so nice to include that little bit in our photos since it’s so special to us and tells a small part of our story. I highly recommend including those personal touches if you’re planning an engagement session!
