It’s so easy to get caught up in life (yes, I’m gonna get deep on you today). Our homes, career, status, style, health, family, friends… and trying to make it look like a breeze while we balance it all. The ‘want’ to fill our homes, closets and garages with nice
designer, luxury things, that usually cost way too much money for our budgets. As women, making sure we’re always ‘stylish’ when we walk out the door. Exercising, eating right, feeling like we’ve got to put something fancy on the table every night for dinner. Overlooking the most important people in our lives. Having a ‘successful’ career (what does that mean to you?). Always. wanting. more. and never feeling like you have enough time to do. it. all.
I think we’re all there at one point or another, we let people get the best of us, we’re pressured to be someone we’re not and we overlook what’s really truly important way too often. Jealousy plays a big part in the pressure to be it all and have it all. This post from The Everygirl really made me think about being thankful for what I DO have and over the last week or so, I’ve tried to focus on what’s important to me. So this morning, I took a few minutes this morning to write down a few simple things that I’m thankful for so I’ll be reminded of it more often. Take a look around this weekend, what do you overlook? What are you thankful for? Write it down, I’d love to hear the little things that make you feel blessed!
